2026/2027 National Service – Courier and Regional Operations
You will work with a regional branch team to move parcels accurately from intake through dispatch, delivery and return. Your day will include verifying and sorting parcels, preparing routes, supporting riders, updating tracking statuses, communicating with customers and recipients, resolving delivery exceptions, reconciling COD and records, and completing branch reports during practical on-site and field assignments.

What you will do.
- Receive incoming parcels and verify quantities, labels, condition and manifest details, recording discrepancies immediately
- Sort parcels by destination, route, service level and priority and prepare accurate dispatch batches
- Prepare rider handover records, route information and dispatch documentation under branch supervision
- Track pickups and deliveries, update operational statuses promptly and follow up overdue or incomplete movements
- Contact customers and recipients through approved channels to confirm details and provide accurate service updates
- Identify and escalate exceptions including incomplete addresses, unreachable recipients, delays, damage, refusals and failed deliveries
- Record COD collections and rider remittances and support daily reconciliation of parcels, cash and documents
- Receive, record and route returned or failed-delivery parcels, secure them and update their next-action status
- Prepare daily branch reports on intake, dispatch, delivery performance, exceptions, returns and outstanding items
- Support branch asset and stock counts and undertake assigned on-site or field tasks in line with regional SOPs, safety, security and escalation procedures
What you will need.
- Eligible to undertake National Service in 2026/2027 and expected to complete all academic requirements before service begins
- Tertiary training in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport, Business, Administration or another programme that demonstrates relevant practical skills
- Able to work on site, move through operational work areas and carry out assigned field activities safely
- Able to count parcels, check labels and manifests, update statuses and maintain accurate records without losing detail
- Comfortable using a smartphone or computer, digital maps and a spreadsheet or operational tracker
- Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, recipients, riders and branch colleagues
- Dependable and punctual, with the discipline to follow parcel-security, COD, confidentiality and escalation procedures
- Available to work the branch operating schedule and travel locally when assigned duties require it
Good to have.
- Internship, attachment, volunteering or work experience in courier, warehouse, retail, transport, customer service or field operations
- Good knowledge of the preferred branch area and a Ghanaian language commonly used there
- Experience using route maps, parcel tracking, inventory records or reconciliation schedules
- Experience handling cash or COD under documented controls, or processing returns and delivery exceptions
